Hooked, by Matt Richtel

I thought EC readers might be interested to know that there is a new fiction title out set in the SV (and environs), Hooked. It's a thriller. Matt Richtel, the author, is a journalist at the New York Times. It's still in hardcover and so a little pricey. I shall browse it at a local bookstore and perhaps purchase and review it if it seems promising. Amazon reviews so far are unhelpful/uncomplimentary/suspiciously enthusiastic. One reviewer annoyingly, and predictably, uses the book's title to describe how he felt about the book. There's always one. It's like the guy who points out the not-so-funny-and-painfully-obvious pun, and expects you to clap/laugh/give him a fucking medal.
